How the internet works

These packets travel through a series of interconnected routers that determine the most efficient path for the data to reach its destination.


The routers communicate with each other using routing algorithms to ensure that data packets are delivered in the correct order and without errors. If a particular route is congested or unavailable, routers can dynamically reroute packets through alternate paths, ensuring reliable and efficient data transmission.


Once the data packets reach their destination, they are reassembled into the original data and delivered to the recipient's device. This process happens thousands of times per second, allowing users to send emails, watch videos, shop online, and access a wealth of information with just a few clicks.
